The OSC is a revolutionary
new squad of dedicated police officers, set up to combat the growing menace of
serial crime in Britain. This rapid response unit, modelled on America's
FBI, serves the entire country. The OSC is a fictitious organisation, but recently the
Government set up Britain's first
National Crime Squad, under Director General Roy Penrose, to target
organised crime. In April 2006 a new Serious
Organised Crime Agency took over the functions of the NCS.
In the first story of this new
series the OSC team is in a race against time to find a brutal killer with
a fatal fascination for young women. But just when they think the monster
is safe in custody, there's another grisly murder. Is there a copy cat
killer? The second story sees Creegan, Taylor and Rivers on the trail of a
man hell-bent on wiping out a nightmare of atrocities, by murdering all
the colleagues who had shared his experiences of war in Bosnia.
Finally, the third story of the
series sees Creegan facing a serious personal crisis when the lives of his
ex-wife and two daughters are threatened by an anguished father who blames
him for the murder of his daughter.

Producer, Jane Featherstone said;
"The new series has immense pace and energy, and rarely stops to let the
audience breathe. It works as an exciting thriller, but also allows us to
get inside our central characters' heads as they are forced to confront
the consequences of dealing with the worst kind of criminal. The show is
cinematic and stylish, and is driven by some great performances from
Robson Green, Nicola Walker and Shaun Dingwall."
