Touching Evil is Detective
Inspector Dave Creegan's business. But judging from the sorrowful yet
intense visage of Robson Green (above), the charismatic British TV star
who plays the haunted hero in the PBS Touching Evil thrillers, evil has
touched the detective right back. Clobbered him, actually, costing him his
home life and, for a while, his grasp on sanity. "When you're in contact
with something evil, people closest to you are going to find that
difficult," says the taciturn and enigmatic character.
As a disturbed man on a mission,
Green smoulders magnificently, his piercing blue eyes a window to
Creegan's emotional fragility. The actor's conveyance of pain seems as
endless as man's capacity for evil.
