Robson Green is back on the trail
of serial criminals as maverick Detective Inspector Dave Creegan of the
Organised and Serial Crime Unit, an elite crime squad, dedicated to
combating serial crime. The first two series of Touching Evil won wide
audience appeal and soared straight into the top ten drama slots.
The OSC is a revolutionary,
international rapid response squad of dedicated police officers,
established to combat the menace of serial crime. The first story in this
new series sees Creegan defy orders and return to his native North East
when a man convicted of murdering his wife and another woman is released
after an appeal. Creegan is convinced the man is innocent - but then
there’s another grisly murder. Taylor and Rivers join Creegan in the hunt
for the evil killer, but they face hostility from the local police who are
angry at the OSC interference.
In the second story the team is
called in to investigate a series of grotesque murders where the killer
has torched the victims. An arson attack, which gutted a psychiatric
hospital, may provide a clue to the identity of the killer - but there are
two more horrific murders and it’s a race against time for the team before
the murderer strikes again.
